Veterans: SSVF, HUD-VASH & Grant and Per Diem

Veterans have access to three major federal housing programs, all administered locally through Arizona’s department of veterans’ services:

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF): Short-term rental assistance and case management for veterans. Can cover move-in costs, back rent, and utility deposits.
HUD-VASH: Combines the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program with VA case management. Longer-term solution, but waitlists vary by region.
Grant and Per Diem (GPD): Provides per diem payments to community-based organizations providing transitional housing.
